Dr Ting Wen Chang

MBBS (Malaya), M Med (Singapore), FAMS Hematology (Singapore), FRCP (Glasgow)

Dr Ting is a Haematologist currently practicing at Haematology Oncology Clinic, which is part of Icon SOC.

He received his haematology training during fellowships at the Welsh National School in Cardiff, UK and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, USA.

Dr Ting was awarded the Federal Scholarship to study medicine at the University of Malaya and the ASEAN Fellowship in Internal Medicine at the National University of Singapore. He has been recognised for his length of service volunteering at an inner city community centre, as well as 20 years’ service to the Blood Service Group (BSG).

He contributed to the development of Singapore’s bone marrow transplantation program and was a member of the team who successfully performed the first bone marrow transplant in Singapore in 1985. Across the last six years, Dr Ting was a member of the Haematology Resident Advisory Committee and Joint Committee on Specialist Training.

His other current appointments include visiting specialist in haematology at BSG and Board Examiner for the Haematology Exit Exam.

Sub specialty interest: Bleeding and thrombotic disorders and chronic myeloproliferative and lymphoproliferative disorders.
