Dr Ting is an experienced Haematologist currently practicing at Haematology Oncology Clinic, which is part of Icon SOC.
He received his haematology training during his fellowships at the Welsh National School in Cardiff, UK and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle, USA.
Dr Ting was awarded the Federal Scholarship to study medicine at the University of Malaya and the ASEAN Fellowship in Internal Medicine at the National University of Singapore. He has also received certificates of appreciation for long service voluntary work at an inner city community centre and the Health Science Authority for 20 years’ service to the Blood Service Group (BSG).
He has been instrumental in pioneering bone marrow transplantation and spearheaded the bone marrow transplant team at the Singapore General Hospital to successfully perform the first bone marrow transplant in Singapore in 1985. He holds a number of high profile positions and has been a member of the Haematology Resident Advisory Committee, Joint Committee on Specialist Training for the past six years.
His other current appointments include visiting consultant at BSG, consultant haematologist Parkway Laboratory and Board Examiner for Haematology Exit Exam.
Sub specialty interest: Bleeding and thrombotic disorders and chronic myeloproliferative and lymphoproliferative disorders.
