Dr Terence Tan

Dr Terence Tan is a Medical Oncologist who consultants at Icon SOC across various clinics in Singapore.

He received his medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, later undertaking a Masters of Science in Molecular Medicine at Imperial College, London. He completed Internal Medicine Residency Training at SUNY Buffalo, followed by a Clinical Fellowship in Medical Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, New York. He also holds an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Medical/Health Informatics from SUNY Buffalo.

An American Board Certified oncologist, Dr Tan has an interest in molecular medicine, medical informatics and cancer prevention. He has international experience in the management and treatment of cancer patients and has worked both in clinical academic and private practice settings, including positions at National Cancer Centre Singapore and Central Care Cancer Centre Kansas, USA.

Dr Tan is an advocate for clinical trials and participates in a number of international trials across different cancer types. He has developed a comprehensive clinical trials informatics platform, which assists patients in navigating the vast number of trials available globally. Dr Tan’s dedication to supporting patients has also seen him design a lifestyle program that helps people adhere to the World Cancer Research Fund’s cancer prevention guidelines.

A recipient of two biomedical sciences research grants, Dr Tan’s research has contributed to the development of novel cancer devices for adjuvant cancer immunotherapy treatment.
